Breast forms before and after pictures show instantly the feminizing effect this most important shaping solution have on crossdressers. Visitors to our NJ retail location can see this for themselves and to a first-time shopper of such items the effect can even be emotional. Suddenly, you see possibilities that were before, merely a fantasy. Folk new to crossdressing will often just stare in the mirror for a good amount of time marvelling at the look and feel of the breast forms as they sit well positioned in a sheer pocket bra.
To achieve a good male to female transformation a crossdresser has to establish a good female shape first. Depending on your own natural shape this will usually involve one or more of the following: breast forms to produce a bust shape, padded panty to increase the hip measurement and in some cases even a steel-boned corset to narrow the waist (and create an hourglass figure). The most important of the 3 is undoubtedly breast forms since the visual effect of the before and after is the most transformative. Additionally, some may only need breast forms to achieve their ideal female shape.
So when considering breast forms, crossdressers must look to enhance the following:
- A more female shape with curves in the right places
- Lead with the bust rather than the belly as many males do
- Fill out and fit female clothing correctly
- Appear and feel more attractive
Get your selection right and the before and after wearing breast forms will be staggering when done for the first time.
There are many different shapes of breast forms: teardrop, oval, triangular and even asymmetrical breast forms which can produce a different effect depending on what the user is looking to achieve:
Ovals and Teardrops: These shapes are symmetrical so each breast form can be worn on either the left or the right side. They tend to give a proportional appearance so are suited to a more naturalistic or ‘in proportion’ look. We are often asked about the shapes best suited to ‘passing’ as a female and we will usually recommend an oval shape since it is more conservative with regards amount of projection.
Triangles: These tend to project up to 30% more than an oval or teardrop even in the same bra/cup size due to their ‘stacked’ shape. These are therefore ideal for girls who wish to be more ‘busty’.
Asymmetrical: This shape tends to be wider than the other shapes but projects as much as teardrops and ovals in the same size. Many experienced girls like this shape because the added width towards the underarm mimics the shape of a true female breast that carries on towards the underarm. The result is a more realistic shape with tops and dresses since it fills out the whole of the bust area.
There are 3 main materials used to produce breast forms: foam, silicone and other gel-type forms like latex or Pals breast forms. All 3 types will give a good feminizing shape but for the most realistic overall effect a silicone or gel-type form is preferred since the weight gives a much truer representation of the weight and feel of real breasts. For before and after visual effect foam breast forms are just as good but can only be worn with a bra; they are not adhesive-friendly.
Silicone breast forms can be used in regular underwire bras, our sheer pocket jiggle bras for the most feminizing illusion or with adhesives when you wish to go topless and/or wear with sheer/semi-sheer bedroom attire.
Breast form adhesive is usually spray adhesive or double-sided medical tapes. The most popular adhesive on the market is Hollister Spray Adhesive which is a medical-grade adhesive and so safe on skin and yet super-strong to keep your forms in place all day. Many crossdressers find one of the most extreme parts of a transformation as seeing themselves topless when wearing breast form adhesive to keep forms in place without the additional support of a bra.
