Let’s start by telling everyone where you are from?
Hello, my name is Fanny Lovedresses and I was born and raised in old europa. I live in a big city with a big LGBT community but I grew up in very rural areas so it’s easier and less risky now.
When did you first start dressing and how did it come about?
Like many, I started by wanting to try my mother’s bras, heels and lipstick as a teenager because I already identified with women. The Internet started to develop a lot in the mid-2000s so I was able to discover this universe. I only started buying my clothes and fully cross-dressing at the age of 20 when I got my first job and lived alone in my apartment. I started going out as a girl in the second half of my twenties and then I went out more and more times a year. However, it is only in recent years that I have accepted it enough to the point of posting open-face photos on various media with crossdressing communities on the internet. I am now fulfilled and I no longer have in mind the idea that people find cross-dressing as something negative or shameful.
How did you come up with your Femme name?
I have always liked this feminine name. Probably because I admired a girl named Fanny when I was younger. It’s either that or Laura because my mother told me one day that that’s the first name she would have given me if she had had a daughter.
How often do you dress?
I dress up half the time at home. I have since realized that it is more than cross-dressing, it is calming, a well-being and I have realized that I feel envious of women and I am less and less comfortable being a man. I ask myself almost everyday why I haven’t transitioned yet but I want to be sure of myself before starting such an important step.
Are you married/in a relationship? If yes, are you able to share your female self with your partner?
I am currently not in a relationship and I have never told my partner but two of my best female friends who are in the know are enthusiastic enough to share girly things with me like fashion, makeup, hairstyles and that’s great.
We go outside together as if I were one of his female friends, I don’t feel any ambiguity. She knows I will not try to seduce her dress like this.
Tell us what goes into getting the perfect photo?
I would start by already having a background decor, and consistent hairstyle and clothing choices. Then suitable lighting and a feminine posture but without it being too sexy. Sober, classy and feminine. I think the crossdressing community needs to highlight empowering photos to improve the image of cross-dressing. I’m still far from producing photos like the most followed transvestites on Flickr’, Instagram or Reddit
What are some of your favorite outfits/fashions?
I love floral prints, whether on blouses, dresses or tops. I like colorful things; I’ve noticed that I hardly wear any colorful clothes as a boy but as a girl it’s open bar. I’m still experimenting, learning the right combinations of clothes and colors to have. I also really like the working girl look and I would love wearing a suit
Stockings or pantyhose?
I find pantyhose more practical and comfortable to wear under a dress or skirt. In addition, unlike stockings, pantyhose allow me to wear short skirts without the risk of revealing my underwear.
Heels or flats?
I am now more in the position of a transgender than a transvestite now and I increasingly want to wear comfortable, casual clothes, accessories and hairstyles.
I love heels to emphasize femininity but they’re not the most practical for everyday. In Summer I choose espadrille wedge sandals and wedge ankle boots in Winter.
Favorite places to go when dressed?
Friendly LGBT bar, tea room, walking around town with a female friend, going shopping. I even had great welcome in a high-end wig store
