Introducing our Eye Candy of the month: Christina Napoli
Let’s start by telling everyone where you are from?
I was born in New York City and lived in many places (Japan, Okinawa, California, Virginia, New Jersey, Upstate New York) as a child because I was an Air Force brat. I graduated High School and College in Southern California and currently live in Maryland.
When did you first start dressing and how did it come about?
As early as four years old I remember dressing in my Mother’s clothes and used sheets and towels to fashion my own dresses. I was inspired by glamorous movie stars, pretty girls on TV and in magazine ads and wanted to be just like them.
How did you come up with your Femme name?
Chris or Christina were always my favorite names if I ever had children. And in honor of my Italian heritage, I chose Napoli as my last name since my grandfather came from a small town near Naples, Italy.
How often do you dress?
I usually go shopping and run errands four to six times a month. And I try to attend as many special events for transwomen as possible, such as the Keystone Conference and Washington DC Meet Up events.
Are you married/in a relationship? If yes, are you able to share your female self with your partner?
No, I’m single and unattached.
Tell us what goes into getting the perfect photo?
Having a top quality camera, a photographer who knows how to use it, a beautiful setting, good lighting and wearing an outfit that makes me giddy and happy.
What are some of your favorite outfits/fashions?
Most of my favorite outfits are inspired by 1950s and early 1960s fashion. I absolutely love maxi dresses (with a slit), evening gowns, sheath dresses or skirts and high heel sandals and pumps. In the winter I also love to wear fur coats or wraps. I’m a girly girl and also love lacy, frilly, and very feminine clothing. I try to avoid wearing pants unless it’s below freezing outside.
Stockings or pantyhose?
Stockings with garters and not a fan of panty hose.
Heels or flats?
Heels of course!
Favorite places to go when dressed?
Fancy restaurants and cocktail lounges.
Go to accessories for a night out
Usually pearl necklace, pearl earrings and double or triple pearl bracelet.
Who is/are your female role model(s) and why?
Classic Hollywood actresses such as Ava Gardner and Gene Tierney because of their beauty and elegance. Also supermodels like Suzy Parker, Cindy Crawford for the same reasons.
Tell us some fun facts about yourself. What are your hobbies (either when dressed or not), likes, things you do in your spare time, or anything else you would like to share?
My hobbies are shopping for clothing and shoes. Also love watching and collecting DVD/Blu Rays of pre-1970 films, especially Film Noir. And I have always been a military history buff and historical wargamer.
