There are many CD girls out there who for one reason or another have to hide their femme selves from friends and loved ones. Whether it be an acceptance issue with your spouse or the fear of others finding out, we have to find ways to keep our dressing a secret. The hardest part of keeping this secret is trying to find ways to hide your girl clothes. Looking for that perfect spot can be difficult depending on what your daily male life entails.
There are always varying factors as well. For example, are you someone who purely dresses behind closed doors or do you go out in public dressed whenever you can? Depending on your day to day life situation, one of these hiding spots will work for you.
Ways to Hide Your Crossdressing Clothing
The Trunk of Your Car
This is a good spot to hide everything, especially if your spouse or family have no reason to ever go into your trunk. In this day and age, many people use a portion of their trunk for some extra storage or to keep a bag of gym/workout clothes. So at first glance, the bag would look fairly inconspicuous. The one issue you could run into when hiding your stuff in your trunk is the weather factor. Extreme heat or cold could eventually damage your breast forms as well as any delicate clothing items you may have. So be cautious about what you would store in your trunk.
Garage, Basement or Attic
Depending on your living situation, this can be risky since everything is in your house. The plus side is quick and easy access when you are home alone. If you can store your female clothes in one of these spots, get a plastic storage container as that will work best to keep everything safe and can blend in in places where there’s storage. Try and stay away from wet or damp spots as the moisture can affect your clothes. A great option for the garage is to purchase a nice sized toolbox. Larger steel tool boxes come with a lock and key, so you can lock everything up and since you’re the only one with the key, the risk of someone else getting in there is very slim. Heat can still be a factor if one of these places aren’t climate-controlled. Which brings us to our favorite spot to hide your girl clothes.
Storage Locker
Getting a storage locker can actually be something that can enhance your dressing, especially if you are keeping it a secret. The first plus is that you can get a climate-controlled storage locker which alleviates any worry about your clothes, forms or makeup getting damaged. You can get a locker a few towns away, where the chances of seeing someone you know lessens as well. Plus, if you find a storage locker company that accepts cash payments, you never have to worry about a trail if your credit card statement is viewed by your spouse.
We have spoken to a few customers in our store who have told us that they have turned their storage locker into their own personal boutique. Depending on the size of the space, you can set up a small makeup table, a full-length mirror, and some racks to hang your clothes. It’s like having a space all to yourself to just be you. If you are a girl who enjoys going out while dressed, you can enter the locker as your male self and emerge a little while later as your glamourous femme self ready to take on the night. I can see storage lockers continuing to become a popular option in the future for girls that have to keep that side of their lives secret.
At a Friend’s House
Even if you are living your femme life in secret, you may have a friend who you’ve shared this side of yourself with. If they can help you out, storing your girl clothes with them is a fantastic alternative, as all of your items will be safe and with a trusted friend. Plus, it’s a great option to have for a night out as you will have a safe place to get dressed and put on your makeup before hitting the town.
A CD/TG-Friendly Store
For some of our long-time customers and friends, we will store their clothes here for them. Everything is in a safe, climate-controlled space and all you need to do is call when you would like to pick everything up for a night out or a day of shopping. Now while the number of places like Glamour Boutique is limited, if you are fortunate enough to have a CD/TG friendly store in your area, then they most likely will offer this option. Most places may request a storage fee, but that is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
We know hiding your femme self and everything that goes with it can be stressful. However, know that there are options out there to put you at ease. Once you have a spot set up in a place that you feel comfortable with, you will feel relieved and ready to further enjoy yourself in girl mode.
