From hosting our picture contests periodically throughout the year, I can say that I know what works and what does not work when taking pictures as a crossdresser. Believe me, I have looked through pages on pages of wonderful crossdressers photos so, you can trust me when I say I am about to give you some A-1 guidance.
- Always keep a nice distance away from the camera
- NEVER take shots from below you
- NEVER let unwanted hair show
- Be sure the ‘goodies’ aren’t falling out
- Make sure your clothing is not see-through while using flash feature
- Always have good lighting
Distance
I see way too many times great pictures being ruined by distance. You don’t want your picture to be taken from too far away because then no one can see in enough detail how beautiful you are! On the other hand, you do not want to blind people with your good looks taking a picture up too close! Look at our Latest Contestants Article to get great examples of perfect distance.
Below Shots
Nothing is worse than up the skirt shots or unflattering under chin bulge. You all should know what I am talking about. Keep a straight on angle when snapping photos or an angle from above. Never below! For example, with close-ups head-on with head level with the camera gives by far the best result.
Unwanted Hair
This can become very unflattering when you are trying to take a glamourous crossdressing photo! If you would like your legs in the photo from some sex appeal, shaving or opaque tights are a must! Also, be sure to shave all the hair off your face and neck!
Too Many Goodies
Keep the private parts concealed when trying to take glamourous shots. The natural ‘fall/hang’ of a sexy skirt or dress is ruined and looks un-natural in pictures if the man-bulge is on display. An inexpensive crossdresser gaff will solve this easily. In addition, try and conceal any breast form lines from being noticeable in the picture. Again, there are easy fixes available like makeup or sheer pocket jiggle bras that conceal the edges. One of the keys to a great female picture is for others to think they’re real, correct?
Flash Photography and Sheer Clothing
A flash sometimes always brings a picture together but, not when your clothing is too thin or sheer. Being able to see your bra, panties, or breast forms underneath your top or bottom is not flattering for glamourous pictures. Sometimes you never know how a shirt is going to look with the flash until you try but, always keep that tip in mind.
Great Lighting: The key to success with portrait pictures! Natural light is free and will always make a picture look great! On the other hand, dimly light photos do nothing for the eye. They do not catch attention and can ruin a picture no matter how gorgeous you look. Items that are very popular nowadays are selfie lights and phone cases! Check them out online so you can always light the way with a selfie!
