Eye Candy of the Month: Madison Emily

Glamour’s Eye Candy of the Month is Madison Emily

We have some clients that have shopped with us for many years. This month’s Eye Candy Girl, Madison Emily has been with us for close to 10 years and is no longer just a customer but a friend. It’s always a treat to see Madison Emily come into our shop for makeovers and great conversation over the years. She is someone we always wanted for an Eye Candy feature and this month we got our wish. We know once you get to know Madison Emily you will like her as much as we do. Let’s get to it!

Madison Emily, thanks so much for being this month’s Eye Candy Girl. Let’s start by letting everyone know where are you from?
I am a New Jersey girl through and through. I was born here and never left. Not sure what that says about me, but try to keep the NJ jokes to a minimum.

When did you first start dressing and how did it come about?
Oh gosh, such a long long time ago. I guess it was when I was around 11 or 12 and discovered my mother’s lingerie and heels. I tried them on and never looked back, although lots of confusion then and even now. In college, I was able to buy my own stuff, but it was just clothes and heels. It was when I was in my twenties that I wanted to try on makeup and wigs so that I could look more complete. I have been trying to look the best as I can ever since. With the friendship and help of David and everyone at Glamour Boutique, I have been getting better at presenting my femme persona and love spending my time dressed even more.

How did you come up with your Femme name?
I knew a girl in high school that was named Madison and I just loved it (though she was quite attractive too), so when I decided on a femme name years ago, I chose that one. I am also known as Emily, so in trying to keep a long story fairly short, here it goes (and it gets a little weird too): Way back when I would go to this house of domination in NYC and I met a Mistress there who adored crossdressers and knew me as Madison. She left the establishment on not such good terms but wanted to still see me at her apartment. She was, however, a bit paranoid and changed her name and email. She wanted me to do the same, so I chose Emily because I thought it was pretty and feminine. When I met David, I was still seeing her and introduced myself as Emily. Online, however, I was known as Madison…so I combined the two names and am now known as Madison Emily.

How often do you dress?
Not often enough (the next question addresses why). Maybe once or twice (if I am lucky) a month during the late fall to early spring. I go into hairy hibernation in the summer (don’t shave my body because people that know me would start asking questions-need to think of a sport where being hairless is part of it…lol), so I don’t dress. Let’s just say I love winter!

Are you married or in a relationship? If yes, are you able to share your Madison Emily with your partner?
Yes, married and way deep in the closet. I am not able to share my femme self with my wife. I should have told her before we got married, but I feared the worst and chickened out. I regret that and coming out now could have fantastically bad consequences, so still a chicken.

What are some of your favorite outfits/fashions?
I think if there is a style that I try to achieve it would be “sexy and sophisticated”. I love wearing form-fitting dresses, tops, and skirts with designer stiletto heels. The skirts and dresses are typically on the shorter side, but they are well made and hopefully leave a lot to the imagination. I guess a positive of my choice of clothing would be that I really need to watch my diet and exercise so that I can fit into those outfits. Which is really hard to do around the holidays.

Stockings or pantyhose?
Stockings every time. I just think they are so sexy and feel wonderful on my legs. It is just too bad that most genetic women don’t wear them much anymore. I think they are just so feminine, so romantic and I am always eager to wear them either just for luxuriating during my femme time or for a night out. I always paint my toes too, which I think makes the stockings look even sexier.

Heels or flats?
Heels, heels, and always heels! I always wear heels when I dress because I just love how they make me feel sexy and confident. They make me much taller than I am barefoot. At a petite 5’5″, wearing 5″ stilettos definitely changes my perspective and makes me feel like I can conquer anything, well as long as I don’t break a nail doing it…lol. I only have several pairs of heels, but they are from designers such as Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, and Brian Atwood. Yes, they are expensive, but they are gorgeous and timeless. My philosophy is since I don’t feel complete without heels on and I don’t dress that often, I just want to have a few nice things and be ecstatic with my shoe purchases.

Favorite places to go when dressed?
I love going out to clubs, restaurants and/or bars when dressed. I really enjoy getting all dressed up (thank you again Glamour Boutique for helping me look my best) and dancing. I can dance in 5″ heels, although depending on the designer, my feet usually pay for it!

Go to accessories for a night out
My Bebe purse or clutch, earrings, rings, and bracelets. I try to think about the whole outfit and how the dress works with the heels and accessories. Plus if are there any design touches on the dress that would make wearing gold or silver jewelry better. I just love putting together outfits and accessories are a big part of that. Plus a gold, silver, or diamond anklet is always a sexy addition to any dress and stiletto heel ensemble.

Who is/are your female role model(s) and why?
Caitlyn Jenner is definitely a big one. I think she is tremendously brave, especially because she was so famous before. I also find that all trans-women are role models to me because they have the courage to truly be themselves and be happy even if society is less than tolerant. It seemed like the world was progressing, but now we have taken a few steps back. Hopefully, progress will continue and people who identify as LGBTQ will be treated just like everyone else.

Tell our readers some fun facts about yourself. Do you have any hobbies? What do you do in your spare time when either dressed or not?
When dressed, I love to go shopping for dresses, skirts, tops, and, especially for…wait for it…stiletto heels! Also, I am much more of an extrovert when en femme and way more fun too. I love good conversation, dancing, and music. I don’t really know why, but if I can self-diagnose, I would think it is because I am free to be myself and not have to abide by anyone’s preconceived notions of those that know the boring male me.

Any stories you would like to share about yourself and your journey?
Well, it has been an interesting journey and things that I would have thought were originally crazy for me turned out to be not so crazy. I wish I was born in the internet era so I could see that there were so many others like me and not felt that I was alone in doing this sort of thing. It all first started as dressing, just wearing the clothes and shoes was thrilling. But that was it, I still felt, sounded and acted male. Then things started to change, I wanted to be more feminine – look, sound, and act more feminine. I guess my goal became to pass as best as I could when out in public and I wanted to be female in every way possible. Additionally, my sexuality has evolved too (maybe a mid-life crisis and hopefully not TMI). If I was born later or had the courage now, I am not sure if I would be in the same place (i.e. married in the traditional sense). I am happier as a woman and would try to live it 24/7 or as close to that ideal as I could. I often fantasize about being the doting stay at home wife to a wonderful husband…I know, a very different place than where I am now.

None of my pics are photoshopped or have any filters applied. They are straight from the camera. None of “my” pics are explicit, although some might be slightly risque. My faves, well that’s a different story and some of them might be considered NSFW 😉

If you would like to send a message out there to your fellow girls or a closing statement.
Life is short, be happy, and be yourself. Not everyone will understand and most of us will have to make compromises because this “lifestyle” would hurt important people in our lives. It seems like only the very lucky few will have a tremendous amount of support from close family and friends. I am not one of those; so I do what I can when I can, and just truly enjoy those moments when I can be the real me. With that said, I am so incredibly grateful for those people I can share this part of me with, so thank you so much, David, Genna, Maureen, Dawn, Meredith, and Anthony!!!

Aww. Thanks Madison Emily! And thank you for taking the time to share your story with us and being this months Eye Candy!
